Liu Xiaojiang Visited the Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition for Celebrating the PLA 90th Anniversary

On July 3rd, Vice-chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Twelfth National People’s Congress and first vice chairman of China International Cultural Communication Center Liu Xiaojiang visited the Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition for Celebrating the PLA 90th Anniversary in the Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing and friendly communicated with artists.
The Exhibition, hosted by China International Cultural Communication Center and cohosted by the JDB Group, has collected more than 350 masterpieces by over 200 generals and contemporary famous painters and calligraphers. These works of art with deep affection and respect for the people’s army, adhering to the profound traditional skills of Chinese painting and calligraphy, have demonstrated the glorious history and brilliant achievements of the people’s army and eulogized their spirit and qualities.
Famous calligraphers Yang Jichuan, Chen Yuefeng and Aisin Gioro Hengyan talked to Liu Xiaojiang about their feelings of attending the painting and calligraphy exhibition to celebrate the PLA 90th anniversary and also introduced their representative works. Three artists all agreed that this Exhibition with the theme of extolling the CPC, praising the country and the people’s army is held by China International Cultural Communication Center, and it not only provides spiritual and cultural power for the realization of Chinese dream and the dream of a strong army, but also presents a tribute to the oncoming 19th National Congress of the CPC. They all said that it is a great honor to be able to participate in such an event that is to promote the positive energy and the main theme of the era. Liu Xiaojiang extended his thanks to artists and hoped that artists could create more fine art works to promote Chinese culture.
Since its opening on June 21st, the painting and calligraphy exhibition of the PLA 90th anniversary has attracted officers and soldiers, students and painting lovers and people from all walks of like totally more than 1800.
