Leadership of CICCC meets with South Korean Ambassador to China Kwon Youngse

       Tang Tianbiao extended his warm welcome to the newly appointed ambassador to China, saying that the friendship between the two peoples have been developing steadily over the last two decade, since the establishment of the diplomatic ties between the two countries. Exchanges between two sides saw a constant and frequent stream, both at the level of higher ranking leadership and people of grass root. The numbers of students they send to each other reached an all-time high, and so are the tourists. Arguably, it is incomparable internationally. It is evident that the kinship between the two cultures leads to the closeness of relationship, we are friendly neighbors, good partners as well. Especially during the period when President Park Geun-hye holds the office, she launched new economic policy which has brought us even closer for it resembles the Chinese dream advocates by Chinese President Xi Jinping. Although against the backdrop of global economic crisis, the goal of rebuild economy seems difficult to achieve, the Chinese people do hold a strong belief that under the leadership of our President Xi Jinping—the South Korean people leadership of President Park Geun-hye—we will eventually create a miracle. Ambassador Kwon Youngse is a very young man, nevertheless he has served three sessions’ parliament in a row, he once held the office of chairman of Intelligence Committee of the Congress. He is experienced in politics. We hope that in your term as ambassador to China, we would further enhance the communication and cooperation between the two sides in terms of politics, economy and culture.

      Ambassador Kwon Youngse thanked deeply for Tang Tianbiao’s hospitality. He suggested that he takes as a great honor to serve as the ambassador to China. The two countries not only have same-rooted culture, but also shared interest. I always believe firmly that China stands for a nuclear-free Korean peninsula as well as the unification of the north and the south for upheavals and wars hurt both sides. Vice-chairman Tang and Executive Chairman Long are both regarded by the ROK people as close friends. You have for many times visited the country and have contributed a lot to push forward cultural exchanges and friendship advancement between the two nations. You have a great number of friends in the ROK, amongst them my respected tutors, supervisors and friends. I am more than willing to make this friendship continue and grow. I also hope that my career and mission would have your blessings and support. Let us work together to move forward the Sino-ROK friendship and to achieve a deeper and higher lever regarding cultural communication and cooperation.
