The year 2018 is the first year to implement the party's spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. It is the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening up. It is a crucial year for the decisive victory of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and the implementation of the 13th five-year plan. Longgang district is located in the east of Shenzhen, is a strategic position of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and "Marine Silk Road", which has the unique geographical advantages and realistic foundation in participating in the "The Belt and Road" construction, which will be created as the Shenzhen East Center. Long Yuxiang expressed affirmation for the achievements that Longgang district has achieved in the economic and social development as well as the importance that has been paid for the publicity and cultural works. He said, Longgang is located in the center area of Shenzhen, opportunities and challenges are all existing, under “The Belt and Road”, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area urban development planning, Longgang is in-depth implementing the national innovation driven development strategy, the innovation ability is improved significantly. In November 2017, the national women's hockey team settled in Longgang, Kunlun Red Star Ice Hockey Club under the supervision of CICCC fought the home game for the CWHL (Canadian Women's Hockey League) in Longgang, which has great significance for promoting the development of sports in Longgang district and creating the "Cultural and Sports Highland" in Shenzhen East, which has also greatly enhanced the competitiveness of Longgang region and promoted the international influence and popularity of Longgang, made great contribution for promoting the popularization and development of ice hockey in China and the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. CICCC will communicate closely with Longgang district and cooperate in sports, culture, education, art and other aspects in order to accelerate the construction of Shenzhen East Center.
